Buddenhagen & Associates EXPANDS OB/GYN Services

Buddenhagen & Associates now has a board certified OB/GYN MD on board!

The firm has already had OB and GYN RNs available work these cases and now a 30
year plus experienced MD, formerly with a prominent practice in Atlanta, has joined
with the firm and is available to review. Currently the doctor is involved with
administrative duties at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

Our doctor has practiced privately in the past in Atlanta and Mobile, taught as a
clinical assistant professor at Emory, lectured at the University of Georgia School of
Pharmacy, acted as division chief of OB and GYN departments at hospitals, served
his country at an Army medical center and did a research and clinical fellowship at
Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Our OB/GYN MD first obtained a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy at the University of
Georgia prior to completing medical school at the Medical College of Georgia.
Internship and residency were completed at Army facilities in Texas and Kentucky.


Buddenhagen & Associates will continue offering nursing review of OB/GYN
cases.
 

Our primary review RN for OB cases is clinically active as a Certified Nurse Midwife
including antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care of women as well as well
women gynecological services and care of peri and post-menopausal women.

The OB RN has 35 years of nursing experience including ICU/CCU, Medical Surgical,
OB/GYN and Labor and Delivery as a staff nurse and mid level management. She
has been a childbirth educator for 20 years.

Our OB RN has taught nursing students at a major state university and she has
obtained a master’s of nursing (MSN) herself. She has served on a state board of
nursing (BON) and has been certified in inpatient obstetric nursing.


Liz Buddenhagen, RN, CLNC, reviews OB/GYN cases. Buddenhagen has recent
experience working clinically on a gynecology and urology medical surgical hospital
unit. Patient populations included women with ectopic pregnancies, threatened
abortions, fetal demise, pregnant women with kidney stones and other medical
surgical issues, vaginal and abdominal hysterectomies, pregnant women with
hyperemesis, pelvic inflammatory disease and many other OB/GYN issues that
required working with the labor and delivery, neonatal ICU and maternity or family
care units as well as the emergency room, operating room and post anesthesia
recovery.

In the past Buddenhagen has worked in a neonatal intensive care (NICU) providing
direct care to neonates and their families, attending high risk vaginal deliveries and
C-sections to include care of the infant and coordination with the labor and delivery
and maternity/family care nurses and doctors.
